About Me...
I'm 5'11, 215lbs., black hair, blue eyes, moustache, muscular build and am 37 years old.
I live in the White Rock Lake area of Dallas, TX.
Born near Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I attended school in Langley, B.C. and
have also lived in
Wellington, New Zealand and in the US.
Master's of Business Administration degree in 1995.
I'm currently employed as a Human Resource Systems Administrator at
Turner Constuction, where I help administer a
PeopleSoft application that we
use to
hire, fire, promote and pay our employees.
My mother passed away in 1989. My sister works as a psychiatric nurse and my
brother-in-law in child protective services . She recently gave birth to my nephew
Jace who is a bundle of energy. I also have a polite and inquisitivie 4 year old nephew,
Devin. My father is retired and enjoys gardening, travel, classical music and reading.
My Interests...
My interests are varied: I have a strong passion for sport. I workout at the gym five to
six days a week, play on a local rugby team, enjoy cycling, hiking and camping. I'm an avid
fan of hockey (Go FLAMERS!), rugby union (GO ALL BLACKS!), CFL (GO STAMPS!)
and college football (grid iron)(GO UCLA!).
Traveling is another passion of mine. I've been fortunate enough to visit: four Australian
states, New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa,
the Solomon Islands, Tonga, the Cook Islands,
Papua New Guinea, four Canadian provinces, Mexico, Belize,
the United Kingdom, Ireland
and 32 U. S. states. Backbacking and staying in hostels (or a tent) have been the best
way for me to travel, get off the beaten track and make life-long friends from around
the world.
Other interests include: all kinds of music, especially Classical music (JS Bach, Handel,
Haydn and Beethoven), jazz music (Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Tourme), and fusion music (which is
a hybrid of western pop/jazz/soul and native music from other cultures); the Episcopal Church
,and volunteering with various homeless and other projects that help the community. World
history, church history, anthropology, astronomy, weather phenomena, international affairs and
progressive politics are also interests of mine but, unfortunately, I don't currently have much
time to pursue them.
